May 1st
May Day occurs on May 1st and refers to several public holidays. In many countries, May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labour Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organised by unions and other groups. May Day is also a traditional holiday in many cultures.
I never knew that there was a May Day until it was announced by Ms. Williams. To me May Day sounds bad, it sounds like a bad thing is going to or did happen. So at first i was a little skeptical about this "holiday".
For May Day i went to Atlantic City. The ride there was very long. Took almost 3 hours to go and come back. Spite of that our GPS died when we got there so the ride back was scary.

MoCADA Tour 4/6/10
Welcome again to my blog today i visited a little slice of black culture a website known as MoCADA.
On this website is basically the information to their exhibit. This exhibition, guest curated by Dexter Wimberly, examines how urban planning, eminent domain, and real estate development are affecting Brooklyn's communities and how residents throughout the borough are responding. The exhibition includes the works of several Brooklyn-based artists, as well as those who have been forced to relocate as a result of gentrification. In addition to works of art featured at MoCADA, there will be a schedule of public programs taking place throughout Brooklyn. Mocada says that they are devoted to utilizing the visual arts as a medium to address, discuss, debate and resolve contemporary social, political and economic issues that disproportionately affect the people of the African diaspora through the creation of innovative exhibitions, public programs, community outreach initiatives and educational interactive tours. The experiences and cultural contributions of people of African descent have been grossly marginalized throughout history. Our mission is to undertake the responsibility of rewriting this history in order to give a more accurate portrayal of contributions to the historical, artistic and cultural landscape of the world by people of African descent.

Story Review On N.Y Times
The article i read was called "For Saints It Doesn't Get Easier As The Wins Mount". Basically this article was about how the New Orleans Saints stay undefeated this season, and that every game will be harder and harder. But they are devastated when the Dallas Cowboys Defeated them 17-24.

Teen Issues: Today on teen issues we talk about how teens will be having constracts to sign. Behavior contracts set ground rules for home-life with your child or teen. Some are for all ages that include chores charts while others are more specific to teens with driving contracts, dating contracts, and behavior agreements. We have found a set of contracts that should cover all your needs in discussing these ground rules with your child. ParentContracts.com offers behavior contacts that cover nearly every topic. I am glad that they are having this because there are some teens who need proper behavior.

Here is There New song "All Of My Life"
Frankie Muniz is now the drummer for an unsigned band called "You Hang Up". He quotes "This is something I have always wanted in my life, and I'm thrilled to be associated with such a great group of guys!" Muniz wrote on his Myspace page after he joined the band in late December.

Women Of America
Women Issues
This week on Women Issues did you know that falling down while your pregnant can get you arrested! As I have read Christine Taylor, an Iowa mother of two who's pregnant with her third, was worried about how she'd raise her growing family. After a difficult phone call with her husband last month, she became upset and accidentally fell down a flight of steps. Though paramedics said she was unharmed, she asked to go to the hospital to ensure the fetus was okay. So after that incident it is now illegal you will go to jail isn't that crazy

Martin Luther King JR
Today We celebrate the birthday of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. but for me it is also my Aunt. Anyways MLK has done a great thing over his years. He has won the noble peace prize several times and as his biggest victory he has made blacks and whites come together in peace and harmony. And after decades of his work he is still celebrated for his famous "I Have A Dream" Speech.
